Wardrobes are storage compartments usually located in bedrooms for clothes. This can be as built in or walk in facilities. Many materials are available for these compartments. This range from plain blockboard with veneer applied to doors to medium density fibre boards. When creating this facilities in the bedroom, the anticipated storage is important. The depth size can be six hundred millimeters and a length as from one meter is acceptable.

When preparing to fabricate wardrobes, identify a suitable location in the bedroom. This can be near a window and as close to the bathroom as possible. Measure compartment size and concrete a plinth of one hundred millimeters high off floor. Divide the compartments into two. After the plinth is dry, mark all the bearer positions from the ceiling to the raised plinth and nail to wall. Add a bearer at least one foot from the ceiling for upper storage.

In wardrobes ensure the compartments are well laid out. Have space for hanging clothes and other with drawers with folded or ironed clothes. Fix the backing piece, then assemble side and dividing boards and nail to bearers. Add shelves above the drawer space. Nail all together or use screws and remember to plug the holes. Add an aluminum rod fixed with brackets half a foot from upper storage boards. Add the drawer guiders and screw into place.

Use appropriate wardrobe hinges for the doors, to ensure a good opening. The brass handles are then screwed into the doors. Add a mirror on one door if its not available else where. The upper storage compartment should be strong to carry weight. Add doors for this space with door knobs used as handles. Slide drawers into guiders and ensure a smooth rolling. Add drawer handles to pull. Fix a skirting to the plinth to match and clean off the dirt.
